Can I use FoxMetrics and Google Analytics at the same time?

Yes, we are completely independent and asynchronous; using Google Analytics or any other analytics platform will have no impact on how FoxMetrics work.

How is FoxMetrics different?

We are not a traditional web analytics platform as we support web, desktop and mobile applications and we are completely event-driven. See this page for more details. [link]

What is an event?

An event represents an action that was taken by your customer such as a page view, button click, registered, etc.

How does the “Free” plan work?

Our free plan provides you with a limited amount of tokens that are free with the basic FoxMetrics functionality, once you exceed those tokens for a month, you will be converted to paid automatically, therefore, nothing will be lost.

What are tokens?

Tokens are what we use to monitor and track your usage, as of this writing, a token represents a single event that we store for your account. For example, if you send us 10 events with a total of 100 attributes, 10 tokens will be deducted from your account.

What happens if I send more events/tokens than my plan allows?

Nothing is lost - your account will be converted into a paid account.

Can I specify a time zone, what is the default time zone?

Yes, all applications default to Eastern Standard Time, however, you can change as needed.

Can I host the JavaScript file myself?

Yes, however, we strongly suggest that you don’t! Each application script file is customized to fit you and we can change it at any given time as we deploy changes constantly.

What are event attributes?

Event attributes describe the event, look at them as additional specifications for that event, each event can have an unlimited number of attributes.

Do the attributes that I send as part of an event count as tokens?

No, they don’t, we deduct per event and not including attribute count.

Is it safe to use your internal JavaScript functions?

No, these are meant for internal use only by our scripts.

What are global variables?

These are JavaScript variables that are globally available to the context of the page and are used by our functions – these variables are all within the _fxm object.

What can I track with FoxMetrics?

There are no limitations on what you can track with FoxMetrics, let your imagination drive.

What programming languages do you support?

At the time of this written, we support JavaScript and .NET, we are adding more as the demand rises.

When should I expect to see data and how frequently are they processed?

Your data is processed in near real-time as we receive them, complex reports such as funnels and segmentation might take a little longer but they should be ready in a few minutes.

How much load can you handle?

Our infrastructure is built so that we can expand vertically and horizontally and we are ready to do so as we grow. If you are really concerned about load, please contact us and let us know what you need and we can have a discussion about performance.

What kind of websites do you allow?

Anything legal, please refrain from using FoxMetrics for illegal activities.

How many websites can I register?

As many as you need, we have no limitations.

How many users can I register within the same account?

As many as you need, no limitations - have fun.

How long will FoxMetrics store my data?

We will store your data for as long as your account is valid and charges paid, otherwise, your data will be eradicated as we see fit.

How far back can I go when creating reports?

We plan on storing your data for as long as your account is paid in full.

What happens to my site when you experience downtime?

Since our scripts are asynchronous, nothing! Your website and applications should continue to function as normal.
